Guanabara Bay

Introduction:
On January 1st, 1502, a Portuguese squad, commanded by Pedro Alvares Cabral discovered Guanabara Bay. Judging it to be a great river, and being the month of January, he gave it the name of Rio de Janeiro.
Guanabara Bay is the largest bay in the world on volume of water, with several islands such as the Governor's Island, Fundão and Snakes Island.
On the west, you will see Rio de Janeiro, and facing the east - the municipal district of Niteroi. As you leave "Marina da Gloria" by schooner, a vision of the neighborhoods of Botafogo, Flamengo, Urca, Sugar Loaf, São Joao Fort, Flagstone Island, Santa Cruz Fortress, Rio-Niteroi Bridge and more.
